Small flash, big results!

About a week ago, my Sony HVL43M flash unit packed it in. It would appear that this flash is no longer made or sold in Canada. My guess is having it repaired would cost as much as a new purchase. So I started my search for a replacement, and came across this SONY dedicated Metz M400 flash. I have a 60CT and 2-45CT flash units which I use as a portable lighting set up for quick on location portraits. Basically, I needed something to be a replacement for on camera general flash photos. This little unit is just perfect. It gives amazing results, even at ISO 50. The wireless functions work flawlessly, and I was so pleased with the initial testing of the unit, that the next day, I ordered a 2nd one from Amplis. With 2 of these little units in my pockets, and the on camera pop up flash of my SONY a77ll to wirelessly trigger them, I am a walking portrait studio, no matter where I go. This will be great for impromptu music sessions to do on location portraits. Great job Metz! Small, functional, and mighty!! The build is also adequate for normal uses, but the battery door needs a gentle touch.
