excellent rapid developer

This product packs a lot of developing power in the 0.5 L bottle of concentrate and while it is capable of excellent results, personal conditions have to be worked out. It creates the impression that it was designed for processing machines rather than developing in a small tank by hand. The recommended dilution 1+9 generally gives excellent results with all 400 ISO films I have tried and especially Kentmere’s own Pan 400 really shines, giving not only a true box speed with normal contrast and good shadow detail but a palatable EI 800 when used for 6 minutes at 23 °C with agitation of 2 inversions per minute. However, Pan 100 and 200, when used at the vendor recommended processsing parameters, often came out overdeveloped with excessive contrast. I had more luck developing them in dilution 1+29 (23 °C for 10 minutes).
